From 13 January 2026, most applicants granted a UK visit visa, as well as certain other visa categories—including Seasonal Worker, Overseas Domestic Worker, Direct Airside Transit, and EU Settlement Scheme family permits—will receive an eVisa, which is a digital record of their identity and immigration status, in addition to a vignette (the visa sticker placed in the passport).
Applicants will be able to create a UKVI account to access their eVisa and use it to prove their immigration status.
Before travelling to the UK, you must collect your vignette from the Visa Application Centre.
Further instructions will be provided once a decision on your application has been made.
For more details, please refer to the information available on GOV.UK.
Other visa routes continue to receive an eVisa only, please refer to eVisas Important Update | vfsglobal.
